How To Care For Greasy Hair

There are many shampoos out there for greasy hair and different brands react differently to people. So you’ll have to try what’s best for you. Just make sure that you pick a shampoo specifically for oily hair, it makes a difference.

There are also some things you can do to your hair to help. The problem could be that you wash it too often. Hair produces natural oils to help protect it from various things in the environment, and when it realises that there is simply not enough oil in your hair it produces it more rapidly. So believe it or not, if you wash it a little less often your hair will become accustomed to producing less oil. In the meantime, there are certain herbs you can use on your hair such as basil, eucalyptus or lavender. You can also try this recipe for a shampoo and see if it works:

Herbal Shampoo for Oily Hair
• 2 tbsp dry peppermint
• 2 tbsp dry spearmint
• 1 tbsp dry sage
• 1 cup water
• 2/3 cup baby shampoo

Another thing to do is to take some supplements to prevent hair loss. Zinc, taken twice a day in 30-milligram doses, will slow hair loss and promote the growth of healthy hair. Be sure to take zinc with 2 milligrams of copper to keep a proper mineral balance in the body.

Vitamin B complex and biotin will aid with prevention of hair loss. Both vitamins strengthen hair and aid with conditioning of the hair and scalp. Biotin should be taken in 1000-milligram doses daily in conjunction with one B complex daily.
